Despite his initial hesitation about Gloria’s (Julia Montes) suggestion to clean his bedroom and give it a little makeover, Gabo (Coco Martin) eventually finds himself enjoying the process and appreciating the outcome of their teamwork.
Once they’re done, he thanks Gloria for the significant contributions she has made to their home ever since she came into their lives. Without her, he would never have thought of cleaning and sprucing up his room, making it feel like a proper bedroom. He also thanks her for being kind to his family and their neighbors, telling her that she may not realize just how deeply grateful they are that she came into their lives.
Gabo then recalls how their home, like many of the houses in their neighborhood, used to be made of light materials, with wooden planks for walls and patched-up sheets of corrugated metal for the roof. Now that their house is made of concrete, he cannot hide how proud he is, seeing it as a sign that their home has become stronger and sturdier.
He hopes the same will be true for the family they’re going to build together. They may start from small, but what’s more important is that they’re going to be together, supporting and looking out for each other. He also hopes that Gloria and their future children will be proud of him as their padre de familia, and that he will be able to provide them with everything they need and want.
Gabo further opens up about his feelings for Gloria, telling her that he never imagined she would come into his life. Thus, he hopes that everything happening between them now is not merely a dream, and that whatever it is he has been feeling for her will last a lifetime.
He tells Gloria twice that he loves her so much and expresses his gratitude that God has brought her into his life. Gabo then slowly leans toward her as he attempts to kiss her on the lips.
