Since they seem to have known Gabo (Coco Martin) for quite some time, Uwak (Jojit Lorenzo) and Lawin (Lao Rodriguez) can’t help but become curious about Gloria (Julia Montes). Gabo simply tells them that she’s his wife and dodges their questions about how and where they met.
As soon as Gloria steps out of the bedroom with the first-aid kit, Uwak and Lawin quickly return to their disguises and suddenly announce that they have to leave. Before heading out of the house, they thank the couple for the kindness they have shown them. Bewildered by their sudden change in behavior, Gloria asks Gabo why they are in such a rush to leave, to which he simply replies that he doesn’t know either.
Upon the departure of Uwak and Lawin, Gabo tells Gloria that he plans to go out the next day to look for a job. He explains that he has realized that perhaps it is time for him to start working, not only for the two of them but also to prepare for the family they hope to build together. Gloria welcomes the idea but asks whether he was able to finish his education.
Although Gabo was unable to go to college, he remains confident that he can still find a job because he has plenty of skills to offer. He assures Gloria that she has nothing to worry about because he is confident that he will come home with a job the following day. When Gloria asks whether it will be a decent job, Gabo makes it clear that he will not take on anything that involves illegal activities.
Holding her hand, Gabo explains that what made him finally decide to look for a decent job was his realization that he wants Gloria to be proud of him and that he already needs to prepare for the family they hope to build together. Besides, he also wants their future children to be proud of him as their father.
Life may have been difficult for them at present, yet he promises to work hard and build a stable livelihood so that when the time comes that they’re going to start a family, he can provide Gloria and their kids a good life and everything that they will need someday.
As Gabo embraces her, Sam can’t help but think that he is such an ideal husband and wonders if there’s still someone like him out there.
