Heartfelt and authentic stories that revolve around the many facets of love and self-discovery will be returning to the fourth season of “Sparks Camp,” which will bring together more adventurous queer campers making connections within a familiar beach paradise.
Among the ten campers chosen to embark on the quest for genuine romantic relationship is 31-year-old cisgender male Joaquin Espiritu, also referred to as “The Walkin’ Conyo Heartthrob” from Caloocan City. The 5'11" flight attendant not only traveled the globe but also bravely ventured into various professions, ranging from PR manager to modeling, before finally joining the cabin crew.
Joaquin’s emotional maturity was shaped by several lived experiences, which included dealing with heartbreak, struggling to find self-worth, overcoming internal homophobia, and building a fulfilling life outside of romantic relationships.
Being a sleek player, Joaquin usually presents himself as a polished, confident, and socially experienced individual, but before reaching this level, he actually spent a long time figuring out where he belonged.
Finding his true sense of self began after his religious schooling. While navigating these institutions led him to constantly adapt, he turned out to be a natural people person, yet with quite a guarded heart.
Presently, Joaquin defines himself as someone who reads the room before speaking his mind. Contrary to some first impressions of him as being cold or intimidating, he considers himself to be “Mr. Congeniality,” who truly delights in connecting with others once he feels safe.
