Luxury buffet restaurant HEAT at Edsa Shangri-La, Manila turns Sundays into an unli-lobster feast with its ongoing Super Lunch Series: Lobster and Beyond.
Lobsters on the grill. Jeeves de Veyra
The highlight of the spread is the outdoor grill station, where freshly cooked lobsters are prepared throughout service. Guests can choose from Boston, slipper, and spiny lobsters, grilled to order and paired with a selection of sauces before being served straight from the fire. While Boston lobsters are released in batches to ensure freshness, the slipper and spiny varieties are available in generous quantities, allowing diners to return for multiple rounds.
Beyond the grill, HEAT showcases lobster across several stations of its expansive buffet, incorporating the prized crustacean into a number of signature dishes.
Lobster Laksa. Jeeves de Veyra
At the noodle station, the restaurant’s popular Lobster Laksa elevates the crowd favorite with chunks of lobster in the rich, creamy, spicy-sour broth.
At the Filipino station, they offer a unique twist on sinigang with lobster instead of the more traditional fish, pork, and shrimp.
Lobster tandoori. Jeeves de Veyra
Lobster paella. Jeeves de Veyra
The Indian station serves up lobster tandoori, while seafood lovers can also load up on hearty servings of lobster paella and lobster pasta from the international spread.
Lobster ice cream. Jeeves de Veyra
Even the dessert section has lobster ice cream. It’s like a lobster bisque sweetened with a bit of salted caramel that’s an unusual ending to this meal.
Dedet Dela Fuente and her stuffed lechon. Jeeves de Veyra
On select Sundays (October 25 and November 8), HEAT’s Sunday brunch is upgraded even further into an indulgent surf and turf spread featuring Pepita’s Lechon Truffle Rice Lechon with the lechon diva, Dedet Dela Fuente, herself doing the first carving.
For these Sundays, guests are advised to come early as they do have a limited number of lechon on the spread, and tend to run out really quickly. Right beside the lechon is her Dela Fuente’s own section of HEAT where her Kare Kare, Crab Gulong Gulong, Ginataang Mais Langka, and Shrimp Hiplog from her degustacions are served as sides to her celebrated lechon.
With the unlimited servings of lobster, you can easily get your money’s worth with a couple of plates. Add to that the other dishes served on the Sunday buffet with the three carving stations, HEAT makes its case for one of the better places to have a leisurely Sunday lunch.
Super Lunch Series: Lobster and Beyond will be until November 29, 2026 at HEAT Edsa Shangri-La and is priced at P3,300 net per person.
