10:49 a.m. - Baldonado is excused for the meantime; she will be cross-examined by the defense later.
The next witness -- Atty. Marco Pineda, Deputy Register of Deeds of Samal, Davao del Norte -- is called to the witness stand.
10:47 a.m. - Baldonado says the property in question cannot be found in the 2025 SALN.
10:44 a.m. - According to Escudero, the problem with the SALN is it does not require the actual area of a property to be stated.
10:40 a.m. - Flores moves to show the 2025 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) of Duterte.
Bacquel objects.
To abbreviate the proceedings, Escudero says he looked into the 2025 SALN and in previous SALN's of Duterte as well, and did not find the particular property in the declared Real Properties.
Bacquel respectfully says it is erroneous for the court to find that the property is not included in the SALN of the VP. He says the court must take mandatory judicial notice of geographical divisions in the Philippines and that Matina Crossing is also known as Brgy. 74-A which is declared in the SALN.
Escudero says this is subject to Bacquel's cross-examination.
10:32 a.m. - Baldonado confirms that the property was bought for P6 million in July 2024 and mortgaged in August 2024 for P8 million.
10:30 a.m. - Baldonado says the P6 million property is owned by Atty. Manases Carpio, husband of Vice President Sara Duterte. It is located in Barrio Matina, Davao City, and has an area of 379 square meters.
10:21 a.m. - Baldonado says she brought with her subpoenaed documents such as the Certified True Copy of the Transfer Certificate of Title, Deed of Sale, Bill Property Tax Clearance, and Official Receipt of the Transfer Tax.
10:17 a.m. - Senator-judge and Presiding Officer Francis Escudero allows the direct examination of Baldonado.
10:15 a.m. - Atty. Lindon Bacquel, counsel for the respondent, says Baldonado's testimony is irrelevant.
