MANILA — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is investigating the alleged involvement of an off-duty police officer in a basketball-related brawl in Tondo, Manila that left four people, including two minors, injured.

The NCRPO has directed the Manila Police District (MPD) to conduct a thorough investigation and determine the circumstances that led to the altercation.
The NCRPO said the safety and welfare of the two minors and the other injured individuals remain a priority, with necessary assistance being extended to those affected.
NCRPO chief Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano said the police personnel involved will face appropriate administrative and legal proceedings based on the findings of the investigation.
He stressed that being off-duty does not exempt police officers from their responsibility to uphold the law and observe the standards expected of members of the Philippine National Police.
