The Philippines just missed out on another bronze in the 2026 Asian Games, with Jericho Francisco placing fourth in men's park in skateboarding on Friday at the Aichi Sky Expo Hall.
A score of 84.41 in his third run left him 1.62 points off the podium, as Japan's Shiju Gunjo took bronze with a score of 86.03.
Another home bet, Nagahara Izuru, took gold with a score of 88.96 in his first run, while Chinese-Taipei's Ku Yong-yan posted 87.33 in his final run to snatch the silver.
The 24-year-old Francisco, a two-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, had a chance to still make it but a slip on his fourth and final attempt resulted in a 2.00 score, ending his chances at a medal.
Earlier in the day, 12-year-old Mazel Paris had settled for a fifth place finish in the women's park event.
