Content creator Viy Cortez continues to prove she’s not just a supportive partner, but also a “cool mom” as she surprised her husband, CongTV, and their Team Payaman friends with her newly acquired car drifting skills.
In her latest vlog, Viy unveiled her exciting new side as a mom of two by pulling off an adrenaline-filled surprise. She shared her journey of learning how to drift at R33 Trucks in San Simon, Pampanga—all with the goal of surprising Cong and their closest friends
“Hello mga, Viviys! Nandito tayo sa unang episode ng (Cool Mom) at ang una kong aaralin ay (drifting),” Viy opened in her vlog.
On her first visit to the drift track, Viy admitted to feeling nervous about trying something so new and bold. However, she was encouraged by the thought of becoming one of the few female drifting drivers and was determined to surprise her husband.
After completing basic lessons and riding alongside her instructor for a demo run, Viy was visibly shaken but determined.
“Parang nasa tama pa ba akong landas? Feeling ko dapat alagaan ko na lang iyong mga anak ko. Nahilo ako. Grabe, nakakatakot! Hindi pa iyon sobrang bilis,” Viy said.
Despite her jitters, Viy gathered her courage and took the wheel herself.
“Ako na! Watch and learn, Cong!” she said.
Once she felt ready, Viy enlisted the help of their friends to execute her surprise.
“Kailangan ko ng tulong niyo. Nag-aral kasi ako ng drifting so ngayon, kailangan ko mapasakay ang isang CongTV nang di niya alam. Alam ko hindi niya kayo matatanggihan,” she said as she laid out the plan.
She instructed them to escort Cong to the track under the guise of a business meeting.
“Pagdating dito ni Cong, dapat salang na. Papasukin niyo na (agad siya sa kotse),” she added.
The following day, Cong arrived at the drift track puzzled by the lack of people until he spotted a car in the middle of the track and saw Viy behind the wheel.
“Nasaan yung mga tao? Ay! Anong ginagawa mo dyan? Ano ‘to? Nag-drive ka ng manual?” Cong exclaimed as he got in the passenger seat, with Viy laughing in amusement.
Still confused, Cong asked, “Anong ginagawa mo rito? Anong ready ka na? Huh? Marunong ka ba?”
Seconds later, Viy fired up the engine and stunned Cong with her drifting skills. He screamed in both fear and amazement.
“Ayoko na! Pababain mo na ako! Paano ka natuto nito? Paano ka natuto noon?” he asked in disbelief.
After the thrilling ride, a still-shocked Cong got out of the car, praising his wife: “Sino ka ba? Asawa ko ba ‘to? Paano iyon? Turuan mo ako! Ang angas mo!”
Viy’s surprise didn’t end there. She and Cong teamed up to prank their Team Payaman friends, Junnie Boy, Boss Keng, Burong, Dudut, and Coach JM, by giving each of them a surprise drift ride.
“Naisip namin na kapag nauna malaman ni Cong, matutulungan ako ni Cong na ayain ang buong Team Payaman at mapasama sa aking drift,” Viy said.
Each of the friends reacted with a mix of panic and disbelief as they realized Viy was the driver.
“Anong ginagawa mo dyan? Si Viy? Hindi kita nakikita nagdadrive. Viy! Teka! Break! Break!” Coach JM said.
“Hala! Alam mo ba ito? Alam mo ba ito!” Dudut expressed.
“Marunong ka ba nito? Manual ito ah. Ano gagawin ko? Unti-unti bitaw ng clutch. Hoy! Teka lang! Ano ba?!” Burong said.
Once the ride was over, all five friends cheered and applauded Viy’s new skill.
“Kailan ka natuto? Lagi kita kausap sa Congpound. Paano ka natuto? Ang galing!” Coach JM said.
Boss Keng stated, “Ang galing ni Viviys, par! Ang galing!”
Fans and netizens were quick to shower Viy with praise online.
“Iba talaga yung pagkabaliw ni Viy kapag gusto niyang gawin yung isang bagay. Ang solid! You never fail to amaze Cong, Viy! Astig yun!” a fan commented.
Another one said, “Galing ng babaeng ito. Kung ano gusto niya aralin, talagang pinagtutuunan nia 100% focus, determination and effort.”
This isn’t the first time Viy surprised her loved ones with her adventurous spirit. In 2023, she also joined Cong in a motorcycle ride event in Pampanga, a hobby he’s known to be passionate about.
Viy and Cong, members of the popular content creator group Team Payaman, tied the knot in June 2024. They are parents to two children — Zeus Emmanuel, whom they call Kidlat, and their newborn daughter, Tokyo Athena.
