Taylor Swift added another feather to her cap after achieving two Spotify milestones with the release of The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.
"On September 25th, 'Patient Zero' became Spotify’s most-streamed song by a female artist in a single day in 2026 so far, and Taylor Swift became the most-streamed female artist in a single day this year," the streaming platform announced on Instagram.
Fans online were quick to react to the news.
"That song has been on repeat for me!❤️" another fan wrote.
"The music industry always being the music industry," another fan said.
Meanwhile, the music video for “Patient Zero” is set to premiere at the Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 27, in Los Angeles, California.
The video will feature Taylor alongside Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell.
The award-winning singer-songwriter previously revealed that The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore came together following the record-breaking success of her 12th studio album, which sold more than four million units in its first week in 2025.
"About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history," she shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, September 23.
Following the milestone, Taylor said she traveled to Sweden to reunite with the album’s producers, Max Martin and Shellback, to celebrate its success. Their reunion eventually led them back into the recording studio.
"I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs," she said.

Taylor explained that the new tracks were inspired by the gratitude she and her collaborators felt following the overwhelming reception to the original album.
"I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made. The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore including four new songs is out on Friday and available to pre-order and save now," she wrote.
Aside from “Patient Zero,” the encore edition also features the new tracks “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.”
