Looking stellar in her Filipiniana dress, Alexa Ilacad brightened our weekend on the hit community singing game show “Everybody, Sing!” last weekend.
The “Miss Behave” star joined the Songbayanang Mag-Best Friends for a challenging round of “Singko Blanko,” where she filled in the missing lyrics to Lea Salonga’s rendition of the OPM classic “Nandito Ako,” originally recorded by Ogie Alcasid.

For the first word, “Gabi,” Alexa instantly pulled out the all-time favorite “Araw Gabi” by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, singing the heartfelt line, “Araw gabi, nasa isip ka,” to nail the prompt. Riding the beat, the next word, “Everybody,” got Alexa into a full groove with “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” by American boy band Backstreet Boys.
From pop beats to heartwarming carols, Alexa joyfully sang Jose Mari Chan’s timeless hit “Christmas In Our Hearts” when given the word “sing,” swaying along to the lyrics, “Let’s sing merry Christmas and a happy holiday.”
Leaning into the Disney dance-pop hit “What Time Is It?” from the 2007 film “High School Musical 2,” Alexa belted out the line, “What time is it? Summer time! It’s our vacation,” for the word “Summer.”
After that feel-good anthem, the prompt “Sleep” brought Alexa to the 2014 song “Sleep Baby Sleep” by indie-pop duo Broods. She delivered the line, “Sleep baby sleep, I’ll lie next to you,” with her own flair.
Alexa flexed her song knowledge yet again when the word “before” came up, quickly reaching for Jake Zyrus’ 2011 single “Before It Explodes,” proving she had the perfect pick.
Wrapping up the final prompt, Alexa turned to Sam Concepcion’s “Mahal Na Mahal” when tasked with singing a track containing the word “Mahal” in its lyrics. She hit the chorus line, “Mahal na mahal kita, higit pa sa iniisip mo,” closing out the challenge on a catchy note.
