During the “Ayu-Sing Mo” category of “Everybody, Sing!,” the first row of “song-pu” from the Songbayanang Mag-Best Friends was chosen to play in the round. Among the “repre-sing-tatives” were Berna and Jeannie, who immediately caught the attention of host Vice Ganda.
Berna and Jeannie proudly told the Unkabogable Host that they have been best friends for 27 years. Starting out as mere neighbors, their friendship was put to the test when Berna was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately, with the help of treatment and prayer, Berna was eventually declared cancer-free, much to the delight of both her and Jeannie.
Berna and Jeannie’s bond grew even stronger over the years, especially when Jeannie unknowingly developed a thyroid disorder. Jeannie recalled Berna’s kindness on one occasion when she was bedridden and was forced to get wet because rainwater was getting into her house. Berna immediately came to her rescue after Jeannie screamed for help and even accompanied her to see a doctor the following morning.
Berna and Jeannie would often remind their children to find true and loyal friends they could rely on. They also encouraged their kids to be wise when choosing their friends, knowing that some people could become a bad influence on them.
Touched by Berna and Jeannie’s unwavering friendship, Asia’s Unkabogable Superstar commended the strong bond they had built over the years, praising their dedication to looking after each other and making sure they were both well and happy.
