MANILA — King Vinoya shone as Arellano University dominated University of Perpetual Help, 88-65, to notch its third straight win in NCAA Season 102 men’s basketball on Friday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
The veteran forward tallied 15 points, two rebounds, and an assist as the Chiefs remained unscathed in Group B, tying Colegio de San Juan de Letran at the top of their group.
“Ni-remind ko lang yung team na maging composed lang kahit humahabol [yung Perpetual],” said Vinoya, as Arellano zoomed to a 44-19 lead behind its strong start.
T-Mc Ongotan was just as crucial with 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals, while Yuan Camay set the table with 10 points and four assists.
On the other hand, Perpetual absorbed its second loss in four outings after shooting just 25-of-70 (35.7%) from the field.
JM Tulabut led the Altas with 16 points, while LA Casinillo followed with 14 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Mark Gojo Cruz added 11 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals in the loss.
